MS Office Ribbon

The Ribbon was first seen in Microsoft Office 2007 and makes a return in Office 2010.

It has caused some controversy among MS Office users. Some find it takes too long to get to grips with while at the same time reducing productivity. Others seems to like it.

In the latest version there are further improvements. On first glance it looks pretty familiar, but look under the hood and you will see the new features.

You can now customize it and add your own commands in a similar way to the quick access toolbar. You may wish to have some of your favourite or most used commands on one tab.

Here I use MS Access 2010 as an example and have added a new tab. I have named this new tab ‘Custom’ and added a few of my favorite commands.
